'Last One Home'

Last One Home
Straggling, struggling and limping, with the port engine losing oil, a B25 returns from a strike mission in the last of the daylight.. The aircraft is shown in the D-day livery of RAF 98 Sqdn which carried out many daylight sorties in close support of the Normandy landings. This particular aircraft survived the war and was used as a personal transport and fire-bomber before going into private hands and being refurbished in the full wartime colour scheme.
