Brisfit - Up country
The Bristol F2b was the original fighter/bomber and saw considerable service in the latter part of WW1. Subsequent to that the Brisfit served with over 40 RAF Sqdns all over the world until the mid 30's, as well as with several foreign nations. It was particularly useful in the 'Colonial Policing' role and was deployed to China, Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Oman and Aden (something familiar there, perhaps!!)
The image is a multi-composite using airshow photographs of the F2b and an appropriate Mid East background (Wadi Hadraumat, Yemen) from my own archives.
