High, Wide and Handsome

A high level study of the P51D Mustang in it's element. The Mustang gave sterling service both as high-level escort and in free ranging low level strike missions. An icon of it's time and still a thrill to watch today - some 300 remain (in varying states of repair) of the more than 15,000 built.

This aircraft is finished in the colour scheme of Col. John Landers CO of 78th Fighter Group based at Duxford during WW2.
